The Aldershot Community Honour Roll began in 2008 with the 50th anniversary of Aldershot becoming part of the City of Burlington. The aim is to celebrate Aldershot’s history through the stories of its residents. Those honoured have demonstrated leadership, vision and creativity in their contribution to or beyond Aldershot.
Past honourees include a champion for seniors’ affairs, a father and son team of business leaders and a much-beloved crossing guard. Others have included a former Mayor of Burlington, a former Director of the Royal Botanical Gardens and the area’s first neurosurgeon.
